Counseling Center Debriefing Sessions
July 31, 2018
As a community we are feeling the impact of the Iconic Village and Vintage Pads Apartment fire in many different ways. People experience a wide range of normal yet often uncomfortable reactions to traumatic events. Reactions may include feelings of numbing or detachment, guilt, sadness, anger, anxiety, intrusive thoughts about the event, or difficulty carrying out daily activities. Sharing your experiences and connecting with others who understand what you are going through can be a powerful way to cope. The Counseling Center will be providing clinician-led debriefing sessions for all interested students who were impacted by the fire.
Thursday, August 2 from 4:30 to 6 pm
Friday, August 3 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm
LBJ Student Center, Room 3-6.1
These events are free and open to all Texas State students, including students enrolled in Spring, Summer, or Fall 2018 semesters.
If you are a current or recent Texas State student and prefer to access individual counseling services, please call the Counseling Center at 512-245-2208 or visit the Counseling Center's website for information about making an appointment.
